Speaker A:Now here is gray hair day.
Speaker B:So how are you folks?
Speaker B:Yes, again, it is gray hair.
Speaker B:Just as the wonderful people from ElevenLabs IO, the artificial intelligence website where you type in what you want to and it gives you different choices for, for voices, voice styles, all kinds of fun things.

Speaker B:Oh, where was I?
Speaker B:You know how it is, you get a little bit older in age, you forget where you were so quickly.
Speaker B:But no, I mean, I, I, I thought that I was going to have to go to video because I was going in, in sequence of what you do to start a podcast.
Speaker B:And I've got a camera, you know, my phone.
Speaker B:And let's be honest, that camera on your phone, I don't know what kind of phone you got.
Speaker B:Doesn't really matter, you know, unless you're using an eight or nine year old flip phone.
Speaker B:The phone on your, on your camera is really pretty good.
Speaker B:It really is, you know, and so I'm going to use that.
Speaker B:I've also got a new webcam.
Speaker B:Well, I can't say it's new.
Speaker B:I've had it for about a year that I've considered using.
Speaker B:I also have a, you know, a digital video recorder which I've considered using and it's supposed to be 4k but I just don't think it gives me the quality or the depth of the, the iPhone 15.
Speaker B:And I'm working on a 15, folks.
Speaker B:I'm not working on an iPhone 16, I'm working on an iPhone 15.
Speaker B:I'm not a person who Upgrades every time something new.
Speaker B:Dog started barking for a second so I had to pause.
Speaker B:But where I was at is I'm not the type of person who changes every time something new comes out.
Speaker B:Now I like to be as up to date as I can, but Apple comes out with a brand new phone every year.
Speaker B:And my gosh, folks, I use a, an iPhone.
Speaker B:Mine is a 15 Pro Max and it's the large one.
Speaker B:So it's a thousand dollar phone.
Speaker B:I'm not going to go out and buy a new thousand dollar phone every time a new one comes out.
Speaker B: ear this is, this is, this is: Speaker B:And if they put a, I swear, if they put a, a silicone chip in this one instead of intel or whatever they're using for their chips, oh my God, it'll be an absolute game changer.
Speaker B:Game changer.
Speaker B:I swear it will be.
Speaker B:And I'll get one, but not yet.
Speaker B:I just got a brand new iPad M4 Pro Max and it's doing all kinds of things for me.
Speaker B:It's helping me run the business.
Speaker B:Okay, I don't want to get bogged down in that, but hopefully it's exactly what I need to get this business up and running, right?
Speaker B:This Gray Hair Productions.
Speaker B:I have been goofing around with it for way too long, folks.
Speaker B:And I'm having to say this on here purposely because I need a push.
Speaker B:And just having it out there in the universe sometimes talking to people that are, are listening to me is enough of a push for me to get my, my hiney in gear.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:And that's what's going to happen this year.
Speaker B:All I gotta do is have two or three customers and I can, I can call it quits in my job right now and it'll make recovery so much easier on my foot.
Speaker B:So that's, that's the plan for me.
Speaker B:That's, that's the hope and the wish.
Speaker B:Now will that come true?
Speaker B:Yes, because now I say it's going to come true and I'm not one to lie.
Speaker B:I'm going to make this work.
Speaker B:So there's that.
Speaker B:Okay, so I won't need a new one till 18 probably, but I'll get a 17 when it comes to the iPhone, so I probably will.
Speaker B:And I'm also looking at upgrading my computer soon.
Speaker B:Do I need to?
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:But if I start that video editing more, I'M really going to want to get a little bit more memory in the RAM section, you know, portion of the computer.
Speaker B:Now I'm working off of a, a MacBook Air with an M1 and it's, well, it's five years old but it runs, Gosh, it runs just like a champ.
Speaker B:And I'm trying to decide over here, do I stick with the laptop or do I go keep this laptop and go out and buy a Mac mini?
Speaker B:And I know I'm talking about technology here today folks, but that's what I want to talk about today.
Speaker B:I like the computer.
Speaker B:I like the keyboard on this.
Speaker B:Oops.
Speaker B:I like the keyboard on my Mac.
Speaker B:And I would go out and get the MacBook or not the Mac but the, the Apple keypad because I like their, I mean I like their keyboards.
Speaker B:Plus I'd have to go out and get a trackpad.
Speaker B:I use a mouse all the time.
Speaker B:But I've really, really learned to enjoy the trackpad on my Dell or any other laptop that I've had.
Speaker B:I've had quite a few over the years, really have had a couple of Dells, Lenovo's.
Speaker B:Oh man, I had a Sony once that was fantastic.
Speaker B:But I never really found their track pads to be as useful as the Apple trackpad just isn't.
Speaker B:So I would have to have one of those.
Speaker B:And I can't be mobile with a Mac Mini where I can be with a MacBook or a, an Apple MacBook Pro with an M4 chip in it.
Speaker B:Now I do most.
Speaker B:I could do all my business on my iPad if I was, was out and about.
Speaker B:I can do some editing on there too.
Speaker B:It's powerful enough to do it.
Speaker B:It's powerful enough right now that it can run a couple of Pro big programs.
Speaker B:I could run GarageBand in there or I'm sorry, Logic Pro or Hindenburg and put the monitor on there, my 34 inch monitor on there and they would have no problem.
Speaker B:It just offer goes and, and they call it rendering when you, when you get ready to get ready to, to export your video and they call it bouncing when it comes to audio.
Speaker B:And Hindenburg is really, really fast because there's not a lot that I've done to it.
Speaker B:In Hamburg, Hindenburg is my backup recorder.
Speaker B:I've had to use it a couple times because sometimes I make drastic mistakes and I can't get it back.
Speaker B:So I go to the Hindenburg, I download it into Logic Pro and off I go.
Speaker B:I've started all over again.
Speaker B:But you know, that's how I do things.
Speaker B:So whatever I get, it's got to be able to do all that.
Speaker B:Well, the Mac Mini can do that, and I can get it for a whole lot cheaper than I can get a, a MacBook Pro.
Speaker B:Now, most all the new Mac Minis are coming with 16 gigabytes of RAM.
Speaker B:And I would of course have to have 512 gigabytes of hard storage, hard drive storage.
Speaker B:It's all in one chip.
Speaker B:With Apple, it's all the silicon chip.
Speaker B:So anyways, that's what I wanted to talk to you about.
Speaker B:Just want to get it off my chest and let you know where I'm at real quick on politics.
Speaker B:Yesterday or the day before was the current President, United States, 100th day in office.
Speaker B:And they say that the very first 100 days are where you can get the most done in politics.
Speaker B:The first hundred days of a president's term are the most important to get things done.
Speaker B:And he's gotten a lot done.
Speaker B:He was interviewed last night by a gentleman, I want to use a nice phrase here to cover this, a gentleman who I've never heard of before from ABC who kept trying to trap him.
Speaker B:It was fun to watch.
Speaker B:I did watch him, and he about ended it a couple of times with this guy, but he didn't, you know, he just didn't.
Speaker B:And he's gotten a lot done.
Speaker B:There's a lot of controversy going on and some things may have to come back that he did.
Speaker B:You know, he's human.
Speaker B:You can't, you can't do anything about that.
Speaker B:He's a human being.
Speaker B:He makes mistakes.
Speaker B:So anyways, that's all I've got to say about politics this week.
Speaker B:Here's something, though, that I found funny.
Speaker B:I watched a little bit of the Pope's funeral on Saturday morning.
Speaker B:If I found it interesting that everybody, every male I could see, you know, that that was not a, a bishop, a cardinal or anything like that.
Speaker B:They were all wearing black suits.
Speaker B:There's the President of the United States sitting there in his, his usual blue suit with a white shirt and a red tie sticking out like a, like a sore thumb.
Speaker B:But he's not there to make a fashion statement, folks.
Speaker B:He not there to blend in.
Speaker B:That's not what this president does.
Speaker B:So like me or not, like my politics or not, that's as far as I'm going with politics today.
Speaker B:So anyway, I'm going to end it there.
Speaker B:I'm just going to say this.
